Anchorage Waldorf School (AWS) is delighted to offer another safe, enriching, and joy-filled Summer of Wonder Camp.

Children in Preschool and Kindergarten are invited to our Early Childhood (EC) Camp, which is gently inspired by the familiar rhythm and nurturing structure of a Waldorf Early Childhood day. Through imaginative play, time outdoors, songs, stories, and simple creative activities, younger children experience a calm and joyful summer environment.

Our Big Kid Camp for children in Grades 1–8 features engaging weekly themed camps, including hiking and expeditions, wildcraft, culinary arts, and more. These theme-based weeks invite older children into deeper exploration, hands-on learning, collaboration, and adventure—balanced with creativity and time in nature.

Summer of Wonder Camp offers a thoughtful, age-appropriate experience where children can explore, create, and thrive in a Waldorf-inspired summer setting.

Times & Weekly Rates

Early Childhood Camp, Ages 3.5-4 and 4-6 (Preschool & Kindergarten)

Half-Day for 3.5-4 year olds:  8:30am – 12:30pm                    $250 per week

Full-Day for 4-6 year olds: 8:30am- 3:30pm                         $365 per week        

Grades Camp, Ages 7 – 12 (Grade 1 & up)

Full-Day: 8:30am- 3:30pm                         $365 per week

Forms Needed for Registration

After you complete camp registration, we need just a few supplemental forms to finalize your registration.

The following forms must be completed and/or sent to us by the first day of camp.

Transportation

Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the camp.

Lunch

Children bring their own lunches and snacks.

Sibling Discount

With events and activities suited to a wide range of ages, families often enroll more than one child in our program. Each additional sibling receives a tuition discount as follows: 10% for each additional child.

Early Bird Discount

Register before March 15th to receive $40 off.  Discount will be applied automatically.

Summer Camp Cancellation Policy

  • A one-time $75 deposit (per week of camp) via credit card/debit will be required at the time of registration. 
    • Deposit goes toward one week of tuition.
  • You may pay tuition online or mail a check to AWS (3250 Baxter Road Anchorage, AK 99504) within 14 days of the start of camp.
  • If you need to cancel for any reason, you must notify us in writing to ed@waldorfak.org.
  • If you’re unable to attend a certain week, we are happy to transfer you to a different week depending on availability. This is the preferred method before we issue a refund.

Refund Policy is as follows:

  • For refund requests made within 14 days or more prior to the start of camp, you will receive a full refund minus the $75 deposit.
  • For refund requests made within 14 days or less prior to the start of camp, AWS is unable to offer any refunds or credits*

*Determined on a case by case basis depending on the reason for cancellation.

  • Refunds will be issued via paper check to the mailing address on file within 5-10 business days.
